The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners host the Florida Atlantic Owls in a CUSA tilt Saturday.\
The Rice Owls 4-15 record can be explained away by saying they don’t score much more then 60 points which isn’t enough for any team to win consistently. The Owls saw their chance at a season high three game winning streak end in a 71-58 loss at UTEP Thursday as an eight point road dog. A 20 point deficit heading to the locker room was too much to overcome on 37.5% shooting with 18 turnovers. The Miners sank half their looks and made 14 more free throws to win handily. Ronald Delph was the Owls lone double digit scorer with25 points on 9-15 from the floor which included a 5-6 mark on threes. Adonis Filer added eight points and eight rebounds but FAU needed more scoring options.

The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners are similar to Florida Atlantic in that they don’t score enough points but that’s because opponents outscore them to the tune of 84-72. The Roadrunners had nothing going their way in a 72-56 defeat to visiting Florida International Thursday as a three point home dog. The Golden Panthers took a five point lead in to the break and slowly pulled away over the final 20 minutes. UTSA hit shots at less then 33% including a 3-20 mark on threes which made Florida International’s 44% marksmanship a winning performance. Christian Wilson gave the Roadrunners 12 points and seven rebounds with JR Harris and Ryan Bowie combining for 21 points.
The over is 6-2 in Florida Atlantic last 8 Saturday games and the under is 8-3 in their last 11 overall while the Owls are 8-20 ATS in their last 28 road games. Texas-San Antonio are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games and the under is 6-2 in their last 8 vs. Conference USA while the Roadrunners are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall. Good grief do you want to risk money on this…
