The Hawaii Warriors look to stay hot when the UC Davis Aggies make a visit Saturday.
The UC Davis Aggies are not supposed to be as fearsome as last season and that appears to be the case although I wouldn’t ignore them in the Big West. The Aggies have won back to back contests after knocking off UC Riverside on Thursday as a one point home dog. UCD led by five at the break with neither team able to take control with each combining for 36 turnovers. The Aggies held a slight 43.5%-41.5% shooting edge but a 13-4 advantage at the foul line was decisive. Darius Graham paced UC Davis with a game high 21 points followed by a 20 point performance from Josh Fox. Neal Monson grabbed nine rebounds but the offense was a two man show.
USA TODAY Sports
The Hawaii Warriors are on a roll with seven consecutive victories which includes a 4-0 start to their Big West Schedule. The Warriors had their share of problems in an 86-79, overtime victory at CS Fullerton as a 7.5 point favorite. The Titans connected at nearly 45% but the 43% shooting Warriors totaled 12 more looks at the basket for four more field goals to offset six more CSF free throws. Hawaii received a game high 23 points and five assists from Isaac Fleming with Stefan Jankovic tossing in 21 points on 7-12. Roderick Bobbitt added 14 points and six helpers while Sai Tummala chipped in with nine points.
The under is 7-1 in UC Davis last 8 overall and UC Davis are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games overall while going 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games. The Warriors are far superior and cover if they are clicking but this is at least a DD victory…
