The Marist Red Foxes look to reverse their fortunes when the Niagara Purple Eagles visit Thursday.
The Marist Red Foxes have struggled for a number of years and that trend looks like it will continue. The Red Foxes have a viable offense at 73 points but not so much defensively with 80 points allowed which has the team staring at eight consecutive defeats after an 83-72 loss at Monmouth as a 19 point road dog. The Hawks were up 13 heading to the locker room and were never in danger behind 45.8% accuracy with Marist held to only 34% and just 7-36 from beyond he arc. Khalid Hart and Connor McClenaghan gave the Red Foxes 24 points apiece with six and 12 rebounds respectively. Ryan Funk tossed in 16 points while Kentrall Brooks added eight points and six boards.

The Niagara Purple Eagles have the look of an improved squad although the improvement hasn’t shown up in the win column. The Purple Eagles are suffering through a four game slide after an 82-70 loss to visiting Siena as an eight point home underdog on Tuesday night. The Purple Eagles never found the range at 38% with a 3-16 effort on threes doing them in while the Saints fired away at over 49% including a 9-19 performance from beyond the arc. Matt Scott led all scorers with 31 points with seven boards and five steals while Emile Blackman scoring 22 points on a combined 15-29 from the field. Unfortunately no other player scored more then four points in what was a two man offense.
Niagara are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Thursday games. The over is 10-2 in Marist last 12 overall. These teams don’t do a ton of winning and I’ thinking points because somebody is getting them…
