The Chattanooga Mocs look to stay hot when they go on the road to face the Samford Bulldogs.
The Chattanooga Mocs have been on a roll since the season began at 17-3 and it’s carried over to the SoCon where they are 6-1. The Mocs are riding a four game winning streak capped off by a 73-60 victory at North Carolina-Greensboro as a 4.5 point favorite. The Spartans led by six at the half before the Mocs dominated both ends of the floor to win easily. UNCG sank shots at 44% but Chattanooga countered at 51% including 11-22 from distance with seven more free throws. Eric Robertson poured in a game high 22 points on 7-11 with Justin Tuoyo tossing in 18 points. Greg Pryor netted ten points while Chuck Ester and Tre McLean chipped in with nine points and six boards apiece.

The Samford Bulldogs have generally held their own in the conference but at the end of the day their 2-6 record says holding their own is not winning. The Bulldogs have lost five of six after an 86-78 defeat at North Carolina-Greensboro where the Spartans rode a 51 point second half to victory. UNCG held a slight 45.5%-43% shooting edge with three more baskets making the difference. Wyatt Walker led the Bulldogs attack with 17 points and six yanks on 5-7 accuracy with Jamaal Shabazz and Christen Cunningham scoring 15 points apiece. Matt Rosetossed in 14 points while Darius Jones-Gibson chipped in with nine points and six assists.
