The Line: IUPU Fort Wayne Mastodons -10 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Western Illinois Leathernecks look for the road upset of the IUPU-Ft. Wayne Mastodons Sunday.

The Western Illinois Leathernecks are struggling to get both ends of the floor on the same page and the result has the team winless in over five weeks. The Leathernecks came close in a 69-67 defeat at Indiana-Purdue on Friday as a 6.5 point underdog but the Jaguars 52% shooting prevailed. WIU connected at 46% but 18 turnovers negated strong performances at the stripe and on threes. Garret Covington led all scorers with 23 points on 8-16 with Jalen Chapman tossing in 13 points on 5-6 shooting. Tate Stensgaard and JC Fuller netted ten points apiece and combined for 14 rebounds as WIU was balanced offensively.

IUPU Fort Wayne Mastodons vs. Western Illinois Leathernecks - 1/31/16 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The IUPU-Ft. Wayne are one of the top stories in the Summit as they try to capture the conference crown. The Mastodons are 6-2 in the league with wins in three of four after downing Oral Roberts 68-63 as a 4.5 point road dog on Thursday. The Mastodons dominated the final 20 minutes 41-27 to erase a nine point deficit behind a defense that allowed just 33% shooting including a 5-20 mark on threes. Fort Wayne countered with 40.7% accuracy with an 8-21 effort from beyond the arc proving to be decisive. Max Landis led the Mastodons with a game high 28 points and five assists on 9-18 with Jon Konchar adding 16 points and 14 rebounds. DeAngelo Stewart followed with eleven points while Michael Calder chipped in with seven points and seven boards.

The over is 9-3 in Western Illinois last 12 road games. IPFW are 25-10-2 ATS in their last 37 home games and  are 36-15 ATS in their last 51 vs. Summit while the over is 41-20-2 in their last 63 home games. This is more points then I’m comfortable laying so I might look at the total or sit this out…
