The Montana Grizzlies shoot for a road win at the Sacramento State Hornets in a Big Sky bout.
The Montana Grizzlies are one of the favorites to capture the Big Sky championship and it’s hard to argue against that assessment with a team that has lost once in six weeks. The Grizzlies are coming off of an 80-72 victory at Montana State as a 4.5 point road favorite on Saturday behind a 46-35 second half. The Bobcats were held to 42% from the floor with a 6-20 effort on threes hurting them while Montana connected at 49% with eleven more free throws. Walter Wright poured in a game high 24 points and grabbed ten rebounds with Michael Oguine right on his heels with 21 points. Martin Breunig netted 16 points with eight players scoring overall.

If the Sacramento State Hornets are going to make a run in the Big Sky the time is now with the team dropping six of eight. The Hornet suffered a 76-67 setback at Eastern Washington on Saturday as an eight point road dog with the Eagles making a six point lead at the break stand up. EWU connected at 47% despite going 1-20 from long range that was made up for with 14 more free throws to overcome the 41% accuracy of Sacramento State and their nine extra field goal attempts. Marcus Graves led the Hornets with 19 points, five yanks and seven assists with Nick Hornsby adding eleven points and five pulls. Jeff Wu tossed in 14 points as the offense scored well enough to win had some defensive issues.
Montana are 1-6-2 ATS in their last 9 Thursday games. The under is 8-1 in Sacramento State last 9 Thursday games and the under is 7-2 in their last 9 overall while the Hornets are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Thursday games. Montana are 9-1-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings and the favorite is 8-2-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. I’ll go with one of the conference favorites at small chalk…
