The Columbia Lions go on the road to oppose the Yale Bulldogs in Ivy League action Friday.
The Columbia Lions were penciled in as one of the top teams in the Ivy League and haven’t disappointed. The Lions have won six in a row after squeezing by Harvard 55-54 on the road as a 1.5 point underdog. This was a tale of two half’s with the Crimson up 16 at the break with the Lions coming all the way back to win. Harvard won the shooting battle 43%-38.6%but were forced in to 15 turnovers leading to eight more Columbia looks at the basket which was crucial. Alex Rosenberg led the lions with 14 points with Maodo Lo adding eleven points and five yanks. Luke Petrasek and Grant Mullins combined for 17 points but the rest of the team scored just eight points.

The Yale Bulldogs were also selected as a challenger in a top heavy Ivy League and like their counterparts they have not disappointed. The Bulldogs have ripped off eight straight victories capped off by a 79-75 win versus visiting Princeton as a four point favorite. The Tigers were held to 43% from the floor with four more free throws to stay competitive with the nearly 53% shooting Bulldogs. Yale received 22 points from Makai Mason who sank five long balls followed by a 19 point, seven board effort from Brandon Sherrod. Justin Sears added 16 points, ten rebounds and six assists while Jack Montague and Nick Victor chipped combined for 19 points.
