The Davidson Wildcats take the hardwood at the Duquesne Dukes in Atlantic Ten action.
At 12-8 this isn’t a typical Davidson Wildcats squad although this isn’t what I’d say is rebuilding. The Wildcats have dropped three of four following a 79-69 defeat at George Washington Wednesday as a 6.5 point road dog. The Wildcats struggled defensively with Colonials firing away at nearly 53% while countering at 42% with a 9-22 effort from beyond the arc keeping the game from getting out of hand. Davidson received a game high 25 points on 9-21 with Brian Sullivan tossing in 13 points. Peyton Aldridge added eleven points and five yanks while nine players contributed to the scoring column.

I don’t think the Duquesne Dukes have a shot at the Atlantic Ten title but the top four is not out of the question. The Dukes might have their best team in recent memory if they don’t fall apart which hasn’t been an issue with the team winning three straight after downing Saint Louis 78-67 as a five point road favorite. Both teams connected at around 38% with the Dukes totaling six more looks at the basket with three more field goals and a few more free throws being decisive. Derrick Colter and Micah Mason poured in 23 points apiece to give Duquesne plenty of explosiveness. Mar’Qywell Jackson added ten points and seven boards while Eric James and Darius Lewis combined for 17 points with Lewis snagging nine rebounds.
Davidson are 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 games overall and the over is 22-8 in their last 30 Saturday games. The over is 7-2 in Duquesne last 9 Saturday games and are 13-4-1 ATS in their last 18 home games. The Dukes are really tough at home and I know it’s Davidson but…
