The Line: Fresno State Bulldogs -1 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The UNLV Rebels look to make up some ground in the Mountain West with a win at the Fresno State Bulldogs.
The UNLV Rebels have enough firepower at both ends of the floor to win games although consistency can be an issue. The Rebels have been in a bit of a funk with defeats in three of four after an 87-84 loss at New Mexico on Tuesday. The Lobos shot the ball slightly better at 46%-43% with UNLV staying close on a 12-26 effort on long balls while UNM won it with 15 more makes at the charity stripe. UNLV received21 points and nine rebounds from Stephen Zimmerman Jr. with 17 points coming from Jordan Cornish. Patrick McCaw added14 points and five assists while Derrick Jones Jr. and Ike Nwamu combined for 21 points.

The Fresno State Bulldogs score and defend well enough to make them a threat to anybody in the Mountain West and right now they own a spot in the top four but it isn’t secure yet. The Bulldogs saw a two game winning streak come to an end with an unexpected 65-53 loss at San Jose State on Wednesday with the Spartans pulling away late with a 41 point second half. SJSU had a 36.7%-34% shooting edge with a 23-8advantage at the stripe securing the win. Cezar Guerrero led the Fresno State attack with 12 points and five yanks with Karachi Edo adding eleven points and seven boards. Cullen Russo and Paul Watson netted nine points apiece in a balanced but limited attack.
The under is 8-3 in UNLV last 11 road games and the over is 10-4 in UNLV last 14 Saturday games. The under is 6-2 in Fresno State last 8 Saturday games. I don’t trust either team in what looks like a topsy turvy MWC…
