The #18 Louisville Cardinals look to avoid the upset bid of the Boston College Eagles Saturday.
I think the Boston College Eagles 7-15 record needs no explanation as the team needs more from both ends of the floor. The Eagles have opened conference play with nine consecutive defeats capped off by a 61-47 loss at Virginia as a 23.5 point road dog. The Cavaliers took a nine point lead after 20 minutes and never looked back as BC struggled to 26.5% marksmanship which made the Cavs 40.5% accuracy a winning effort. Sammy Barnes-Thompkins was the Eagles lone double digit scorer with 14 points on four long balls with Garland Owens tossing in eight. Dennis Clifford and Eli Carter netted seven points apiece and a combined 12 rebounds but nobody in the eight man rotation approached 50% shooting.

The goal for the #18 Louisville Cardinals is to keep winning and climb the national rankings which means the ACC crown could belong to them as well. The Cardinals took a giant step in that direction with Monday’s 71-65 win versus top ranked North Carolina. The Tar Heels offense was limited to less then 35% and just 3-17 from beyond the arc while UL countered with 43% accuracy which accounted for six more field goals. Damion Lee poured in a game high 24 points and posted five yanks with Chinanu Onauku adding 12 points and ten rebounds. Donovan Mitchell was next in line with ten points and five pulls while Trey Lewis chipped in with nine points.
Boston College are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games and are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall while the over is 20-8-1 in their last 29 Saturday games. Louisville are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall and the under is 20-8-2 in their last 30 home games. I have no interest as Louisville likely names the score…
