The Northern Colorado Bears search for a rare road win when they visit the Idaho Vandals Thursday.
The Northern Colorado Bears looked as if they were finally coming together with four consecutive victories but that thought has been put on hold with the team suffering back to back DD defeats. No. Colorado is coming off of a 90-57 rout at the hands of visiting Idaho State as a four point favorite but this was never competitive with Bengals taking a 21 pint lead in to the locker room and never letting up. Idaho State seldom missed at 58% including 13-20 from beyond the arc while the Bears 42.6% did not even figure in to the equation. Anthony Johnson led the Bears offense with 16 points on 6-13 with Ibrahim Sylla tossed in eleven on 4-5 while Jordan Davis chipped in with eight points and six pulls.

I believe the Idaho Vandals might be a factor in the Big Sky with a bit more consistency at the offensive end. The Vandals were shooting for their third straight win last time out but blew the lead in a 72-70 defeat at Northern Arizona Saturday as a 4.5 point favorite. The Vandals held a 44.6%-36.8% shooting edge but were hurt by 17 turnovers and the Lumberjacks nine more threes was just enough to steal a win. The Vandals received 15 points and six pulls from Arkadly Mkrtychyan with Ty Egbert tossing in eleven. Chris Sarbaugh and Nate Sherwood netted ten points apiece with Sherwood hauling in ten rebounds.
The under is 6-2 in Northern Colorado last 8 overall and is 6-2 in their last 8 vs. Big Sky while the Bears are 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 road games. Northern Colorado can disappear without notice but if they don’t I’ll take the points…
