The Buffalo Bulls has their four game winning streak snapped and dropped to 14-10 (7-4 MAC East) on the season after being defeated by the Toledo Rockets, 71-69, this past Tuesday. Buffalo held a 37-28 halftime lead however, couldn’t allowed the Rockets to go on multiple runs in the 2nd half to fight back and get the victory. Buffalo shot 48.1% from the field and 52.9% (9-17) from beyond the arc. The Bulls held the Rockers to 37.1% shooting from the field and was outrebounded by Toledo by a 41-30 margin. Leading the way for Buffalo was Nick Perkins who had 17 points and 4 rebounds. On the season, the Bulls have been led by Lamonte Bearden (13.5 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.7 spg), Blake Hamilton (11.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.3 spg), and Willie Conner (11.0 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.1 apg). Offensively, Buffalo is averaging 76.2 ppg on 42.9% shooting from the field and 32.6% shooting from beyond the arc. The Bulls average 7.0 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 0.92. Defensively, Buffalo is allowing their opponents to average 73.7 ppg on 42.3% shooting. The Bulls have a rebound margin of 2.6 and average 7.1 steals per game.
The Bobcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 Friday games. The Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 game overall.
Ohio has won 4 of their last 5 games and has gotten some great production from transfers Jaaron Simmons and Kenny Kaminski. Buffalo has to be disappointed with letting their last game slip away against Toledo, however, have been solid in conference play this year even with losing last year’s MAC Player of the Year in Justin Moss who was dismissed from the team. Buffalo has an 8-3 record at home this season but Ohio has starting playing better on the road as of late and as I think big man Antonio Campbell will have another big game, I’m going to take the Bobcats and the points in this one.
