The Line: Harvard Crimson -9 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Brown Bears go on the road to take the hardwood with the Harvard Crimson Friday night.

The Ivy League is wide open and that gives an under the radar squad such as the Brown Bears to sneak in to the mix. The Bears had a real shot at a three game winning streak before a narrow 77-73 loss to visiting Columbia as a 6.5 point underdog where a six point deficit at the half proved to be too much to overcome. The Bears sank half their looks with the Lions hitting at 45.5% with a 15-6 advantage at the stripe being decisive. Steven Spieth gave the Bears 21 points and five yanks on 8-18 shooting with Tavon Blackmon adding 14 points and eight assists. Kyle Haber followed with eleven points while Cedric Kuakumensah chipped in with ten points and six pulls.

Harvard Crimson vs. Brown Bears - 2/12/16 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Harvard Crimson were not considered the team to beat in the Ivy this season and the experts might be right on this one with the team sitting at 1-5 in the conference. The Crimson have lost five straight capped off by a 67-57 defeat at Penn. The offense never got going and the defense faltered late in a 40 point second half Quakers run. Harvard sank shots at 31% with Penn hitting at 43.5% for six more baskets while owning a +19 on the backboards to negate 16 turnovers and limit Harvard’s second chance opportunities. The Crimson received 13 points on 5-9 from Patrick Steeves with Corey Johnson and Aguna Okolie scoring eleven points each with Okolie snagging ten rebounds. Chris Egi and Tommy McCarthy added eight points apiece but a balanced attack needed more punch.

The over is 8-1 in Brown last 9 Friday games and  is 21-5 in their last 26 vs. Ivy League while going  27-9 in Brown last 36 overall. Harvard are 1-11 ATS in their last 12 vs. Ivy League and  are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 Friday games. I don’t think Brown is all that bad here so I’ll grab the points..
