Chattanooga suffered a surprising loss to Western Carolina but I wouldn’t read too much into that loss as the Mocs are still the best team in the Southern and rank in the top-100 in the country in both scoring offense and defense. East Tennessee State will try to keep the tempo up in this one and although they certainly can light up a scoreboard, the Buccaneers rank just 249th in the country in scoring defense. East Tennessee State is an impressive 10-1 at home this season but as I don’t see the Mocs turning the ball over like they did against Western Carolina and for the fact they should be able to put up plenty of points, I’m taking Chattanooga to cover this small road spread.
