The Duquesne Dukes look to stay hot at home when the Massachusetts Minutemen visit.
The Atlantic Ten schedule has gotten out of hand for the Massachusetts Minutemen who lost too much talent from last year and are rebuilding. The Minutemen have won two of three after surprising visiting VCU 69-63 as an eleven point home dog which proves they can’t be overlooked. UMass was up eleven at the break and held off the Rams over the final 20 minutes with both teams sinking shots at 46%. The big difference was VCU went 5-20 on threes and Massachusetts was 10-17 from beyond the arc. Donte Clark gave the Minutemen a game high 22 points on 8-12 with Trey Davis adding 18 points and eight rebounds. Jabarie Hinds also scored 18 points with seven assists and five steals.

The Duquesne Dukes might have their best team in recent years although challenging the big names in the Atlantic Ten hasn’t happened consistently. The Dukes have really been a handful at home and showed they have potential versus the big boys in a 76-74 defeat at Dayton last time out as a 14.5 point underdog. The Dukes shot the ball well at 45% with an 11-25 effort on threes while the 42% shooting Flyers won it with eight more free throws. Micah Mason led all scorers with 27 points with a 7-8 mark on threes with Derrick Colter adding 21 points and six assists. TySean Powell netted 12 points and seven boards while Darius Lewis hauled in 13 rebounds.
UMass are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 Sunday games and the under is 21-7 in their last 28 Sunday games while the Minutemen are 6-15-1 ATS in their last 22 games overall. The over is 8-1 in Duquesne last 9 overall and is 8-1 in their last 9 vs. Atlantic 10 while the Dukes are 13-5-1 ATS in their last 19 home games. The over is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings. If Duquesne plays their normal home game I’ll take them…
