The North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans look to slowdown the Wofford Terriers in a Monday tilt.
I always say the North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans have the talent but not the record. The Spartans have lost three in a row after dropping an 86-72 decision at VMI as a 5.5 point road favorite on Thursday. The Keydets took the fight out of the Spartans with a 17 point lead heading to the locker room and the game never got closer. Both teams sank shots at 43% but VMI nailed six more free throws and were 12-32 from distance with Greensboro going 8-29 on threes. RJ Whit paced the Spartans with 24 points and seven pulls on 10-16 with Kayel Locke adding 16 points and five yanks. Marvin Smith netted 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Diante Baldwin scoring 12 points and logging another eight boards with five assists.

The Wofford Terriers are not the conference giant they were the past few seasons but they are playing like it right now. The Terriers are playing their best basketball with wins in six of seven after outscoring the Citadel 99-89 on Saturday as a 13.5 point favorite. Wofford jumped to a 15 point lead after 20 minutes and made it hold up behind 58% marksmanship and 15 more free throws to overcome the 48% shooting Bulldogs. Spencer Collins gave the Terriers attack 23 points on 9-16 with Ryan Sawvell adding 16 points and five yanks. Fletcher Magee was next in line with 15 points and six pulls followed by a 14 point, five assist effort from Justin Gordon.
Wofford are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall and the over is 23-8 in their last 31 overall while going 37-17 in their last 54 vs. Southern. The over is 11-3 in UNCG last 14 overall and is 10-3 in UNCG last 13 vs. Southern while the Spartans are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games. The Terriers are 16-5-1 ATS in the last 22 meetings. Wofford is playing well so why not?
