The Line: Wichita State Shockers -13 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The #25 Wichita State Shockers host the New Mexico State Aggies in non conference action Monday.
The Wichita State Shockers had crept back in to the national rankings and now might fall right back out after their offense stalled in a 53-50 loss to visiting Northern Iowa as a 14 point favorite. The Panthers did nothing special offensively at under 42% but the Shockers were shutdown with a mere 30% from the floor including a 7-31 effort from distance while going to the line just four times. Ron Baker was the Shockers only double digit scorer with 12 points, six pulls and seven helpers on 5-16 with Fred VanVleet and Zach Brown netting eight points apiece with Brown grabbing a team high eight rebounds. This was probably a game the Shockers would not have lost in prior years.

The New Mexico State Aggies were picked to win the WAC and that’s exactly how things are unfolding. The Aggies moved a step closer to wrapping up the conference crown with an easy 69-55 win at Chicago State on Saturday with a nine point lead at the half being enough to win. The Cougars were limited to just 33% while the Aggies fired away at nearly 59% for eight more field goals. Pascal Slakam led all scorers with 24 points and eight rebounds on 10-12 from the floor with Ian Baker adding 16 points and five yanks. Jonathan Wilkins was next in line with ten points on 4-4 with seven players scoring altogether.
The under is 11-3 in New Mexico State last 14 Monday games and is 7-2 in their last 9 non-conference games while going 8-3 in their last 11 road games. Wichita State are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall. I’ll side with a really good team in a pretty good conference for now…
