The Western Michigan Broncos visit the Kent State Golden Flashes for the second meeting between MAC rivals.
The Western Michigan Broncos are trying to escape the MAC West basement and possibly improve their playoff match up in the process. The Broncos snapped a three game skid with a 74-69 victory at Bowling Green Saturday as a 3.5 point underdog as they made an eleven point halftime lead hold up. The Falcons were 46% from the floor but just 15-32 at the line while WMU burned the nets at 51% and were 17-22 at the stripe. Drake LaMont led the Broncos with 17 points and seven rebounds on 8-11 while Tucker Haymond, Thomas Wilder and Seth Dugan scoring 14 points apiece to give the offense plenty of balance.

The Kent State Golden Flashes seem like they have been a challenger in the MAC forever but they need a reversal of fortune to do that this season. The Golden Flashes have struggled the past few weeks with defeats four of five after falling 75-70 at Eastern Michigan as a 4.5 point underdog. The Eagles were up eight at the break and held the Golden Flashes at bay over the final 20 minutes. Kent State held a 47%-43.5% shooting edge but gave the ball away 15 times to give EMU nine more looks at the basket and help overcome a1-14 effort from distance. Jimmy Hall gave Kent state 19 points and seven boards with Khaliq Spicer adding 15 points and nine rebounds. Kellon Thomas and Chris Ortiz combined for 20 points but mistakes cost them.
Western Michigan are 8-22 ATS in their last 30 Tuesday games and the under is 10-4 in their last 14 road games. The over is 8-1 in Kent State last 9 Tuesday games and is 9-2 in their last 11 home games while the Golden Flashes are 3-11-2 ATS in their last 16 home games. The road team is 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings and the over is 6-1-1 in the last 8 meetings. The Broncos certainly aren’t great but I will back them with the points…
