The Santa Clara Broncos take the hardwood at the Loyola Marymount Lions in West Coast action.
The Santa Clara Bronco were a solid team several years ago but things have obviously changed for the worst in a very top heavy West Coast. The Broncos dropped to 5-9 in the conference following a 96-62 home loss to Brigham Young on Saturday as a ten point home dog. The Cougars rolled to a 19 point lead after 20 minutes and were never challenged. Behind almost 59% marksmanship while the Broncos were held to 31% for a difference of 18 field goals. Jared Brownridge was Santa Clara’s best option with 16 points on 5-12 with KJ Feagin tossing in 14. Matt Hauser netted ten points while Kai Healy added eight points and five yanks.

The Loyola Marymount Lions dwell in the bottom half of the conference with defeats in five of six making sure there will be no middle of the pack finish. The Lions come in off of a 68-62 loss at Saint Mary’s which was a great effort. The Gaels led by 12 after 20 minutes and appeared to be heading towards a huge rout before LMU rallied to make a game of it as an 18 point underdog. SMC just shot the ball to well at 51% including an 11-20 performance on threes. Loyola Marymount was held to under 44% and just 5-20 from long range might have cost them the upset. Marin Mornar and Brandon Brown led the Lions with 12 points each while Shamar Johnson and Petr Herman combined for 19 points.
The over is 6-2 in Santa Clara last 8 Thursday games and is 20-7 in their last 27 overall while going 22-8 in the Broncos last 30 vs. West Coast. Loyola Marymount are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall and are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. West Coast while the over is 12-5-1 in the Lions last 18 home games. There appears to be some injuries for this game so no line is out yet…
