The North Dakota Fighting Hawks look to contain the scoring of the Northern Colorado Bears when they visit Saturday.
The Northern Colorado Bears have a slim chance of challenging for a top four spot in the Big Sky but first they need to win games. The Bears have lost four in a row which has them sitting near the middle of the conference. The Bears are coming off a 97-80 defeat at Eastern Washington as a 12.5 point road underdog. The Eagles jumped to a 20 point lead after 20 minutes and were content to match scores the rest of the way. Northern Colorado was simply outgunned with 43% shooting coming up short against the 56% marksmanship of the Eagles. Anthony Johnson was the Bears offense with 37 points and seven boards with Jordan Davis tossing in 21 while Dallas Anglin added 12 points and five yanks.

The North Dakota Fighting Hawks have been more competitive then their record says but at the end of the day winning hasn’t happened consistently. The Fighting Hawks have lost back to back contests following a 65-64 defeat at Idaho as a 1.5point favorite. The Vandals burned the nets at 51% with North Dakota responding at 40.7% but they managed to stay in the game with nine more looks at the basket combined with the Vandals 60% free throw shooting. Corey Baldwin and Drick Bernstein led UND with 15 points each with Bernstein grabbing eleven rebounds. Carson Shanke and Geno Crandall netted ten points apiece while Quinton Hooker chipped in with eight points.
