The San Diego State Aztecs look like the crème of the crop in the Mountain West at an impressive 12-1. The San Jose State Spartans 3-11 conference record might say to the casual fan that this team isn’t very good but they have been far more competitive then in recent years. The Spartans have lost three in a row following a 61-55 loss to visiting Nevada as a four point home dog. SJSU blew a nine point first half lead with the Wolf Pack going on a 39-24 run over the final 20 minutes. Nevada held a 40%-37.7% shooting edge with three more baskets and a few more free throws negating carrying the day. Ryan Welage and Frank Rogers led the offense with 14 points apiece with Rogers hauling in a game high 17 rebounds. Brandon Clarke chipped in with eight points and five yanks but the offense needed more punch.
San Jose State are 15-35-2 ATS in their last 52 home games and are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall. No line is out but San Diego State wins and the only question will be by how much and that depends on whether the Spartans can muddy the water…
