The Rutgers Scarlet Knights look for a road win at the expense of the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have struggled to get both their scoring and defense on the same page and the result is last place in the Big Ten. The Scarlet Knight are 0-14 in conference play with four games left in the regular season as struggles at both ends of the floor have been too much to overcome. The Scarlet Knights come off of a 70-58loss at the hands of visiting Penn State Saturday as an 8.5 point home dog. The Nittany Lions were up six at the break and slowly pulled away behind 38.5% from the field with eleven more attempts resulting in four more baskets versus the 39% shooting Scarlet Knights.  Jonathan Laurent was Rutgers best player with 19 points and 15 rebounds with Bishop Daniels scoring 13. DJ Foreman added ten points and six pulls while Mike Williams chipped in with nine points.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers are in the same boat as their counterparts with more firepower needed at both ends of the floor. The Golden Gophers finally broke in to the win column last time out with a surprising 68-63 victory versus #6 Maryland for their first conference win as a ten point home dog. Minny grabbed an eleven point lead at the half and spent the final 20 minutes fending off the Terps. Maryland had a 37.5%-33% shooting edge but turned the ball over 15 times ant Minnesota sank six more free throws to win. Nate Mason led the offense with 18 points, six pulls and six helpers with Jordan Murphy adding 17 points and eleven rebounds. Joey King followed with 15 points and six boards while Dupree McBrayer chipping in with nine points.

Rutgers are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 road games and the over is 13-3 in their last 16 overall while Rutgers  are 6-21 ATS in their last 27 vs. Big Ten. The under is 6-2 in Minnesota last 8 home games. This is a monster spread considering we have a 1-27 conference combined 1-27 conference record….
