The Rhode Island Rams look to derail the Dayton Flyers in Atlantic Ten action on Saturday.
The Rhode Island Rams had hoped for a better season but they could pull an upset in the conference postseason or win a few games and head to a tournament somewhere. The Rams have dropped three of four following a 65-54 defeat at Davidson Tuesday as a three point underdog. The Wildcats led by eight at the half and maintained their lead throughout behind a 42%=34% shooting edge that added up to eight more field goals. Jared Terrell was the Rams lone double digit scorer with 13 points and five yanks with Earl Watson adding nine points and nine rebounds. Four McGlynn and Nicola Akele netted eight points each but the offense lacked punch.

The Dayton Flyers have not looked good the past few weeks and playing poorly is never a good thing when the conference playoffs are on the horizon. The Flyers ended a two game skid with a 52-49, overtime victory at Saint Louis on Tuesday. Neither team found the shooting touch with UD holding a slight 31.7%-28% shooting edge with four more Dayton baskets making the difference in a sloppy game that featured 33 turnovers. The Flyers received 16 points and seven pulls from Scoochie Smith with Kyle Davis adding 13 points and six boards while Dyshawn Pierre chipped in with seven points and hauled in a game high eleven rebounds.
Rhode Island are 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 road games. The under is 9-2 in Dayton last 11 Saturday games and the Flyers are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games. Rhode Island are 6-2-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings. The Flyers better get their act together or they will get booted from the conference playoffs early…
