The Colorado Buffaloes snapped their two game losing streak and improved to 20-9 (9-7 Pac 12) on the season after upsetting the 9th ranked Arizona Wildcats, 75-72, this past Wednesday. Colorado had a 37-33 lead at halftime and 56-45 lead early in the 2nd half and was able to hang on late to pick up the much needed victory. Colorado shot 41.5% from the field and 33.3% (5-15) from beyond the arc. The Buffaloes allowed the Wildcats to shoot 46.8% from the field and 27.3% (3-11) from three-point range. Leading the way for Colorado was Josh Scott who had 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks. On the season, the Buffaloes have been led by Josh Scott (16.7 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.7 bpg), George King (13.9 ppg 4.9 rpg), and Josh Fortune (10.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.4 apg). Offensively, Colorado is averaging 76.4 ppg on 42.9% shooting from the field and 39.2% shooting from beyond the arc. The Buffaloes average 7.5 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.00. Defensively, Colorado is allowing their opponents to average 71.3 ppg on 42.1% shooting. The Buffaloes have a rebound margin of 8.9 and a turnover margin of -2.9.
The Sun Devils are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Buffaloes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games.
Arizona State has really struggled this season on the road as they are just 3-8 away from home and over their last two games at Arizona and at Utah, the Sun Devils have lost by a combined 73 points. Colorado also struggled in their recent road trip to Los Angeles, losing both games to USC and UCLA, however, got the much need victory over Arizona at home which has really strengthen their NCAA Tournament hopes. Colorado has an impressive 15-1 record at home this season and as the Buffaloes are averaging 81.9 ppg at the Coors Events Center this season, I think they have no problem covering this mid-range spread. Take Colorado to cover.
