The NJIT Highlanders battle the Stetson Hatters in the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic Sun.
The Stetson Hatters only chance of going to the Big Dance was by winning the Atlantic Sun playoffs but even then they have been banned because of poor grades so it will be interesting to see if this team has any motivation. The Hatters need something following a 10-21 campaign that saw them outscored 83-80. Their big offense gives them a puncher’s chance each time they take the floor with three double digit scorers and balance to spare. Derick Newton paced the Hatters with 15 points with Divine Myles and Brian Pegg addling between 13-14 points with Pegg hauling in a team high ten rebounds. Six players contributed between 6-9.7 points to give the offense great depth and production.

Ky Howard netted 13 points and nearly five boards with Winfield Ellis averaging ten. The key was three others receiving over 20 minutes of floor time and contributing 7-8 points.
