The Binghamton Bearcats look for the upset of the New Hampshire Wildcats in an America East quarterfinal bout.
For many the Binghamton Bearcats 8-21 record and 5-11 conference mark leads them to believe this team is full of holes. This might be true but there were a lot more holes not all that long ago. The Bearcats are still offensively challenged at 61 points and less then 40% shooting which does explain their record with opponents scoring 69 which isn’t completely awful. No surprise that scoring options are limited with Willie Rodrigues bringing 15 points and 6.7 rebounds to the table for highs in both areas. Marlon Beck gives the offense ten points but is just a 35.4% shooter while Everson Davis adds just over nine points on less then 35%. Five others contribute 4-7 points so this offense is built around Rodriguez.

The 4th seed New Hampshire Wildcats are not exactly a household name even in the America East but their 18-11 record and 11-5 conference mark is not too bad in the scope of things. The Wildcats only outscore the opposition 72-70 but they have obviously made the numbers work especially down the stretch where they were 7-3 with two defeats to Vermont. Tanner Leissner was the UNH star at 15.6 points and seven rebounds but he received plenty of help from Jaleen Smith who contributed 13 points and over five boards. Jacoby Armstrong was next in line with 12 points and another five boards while three others score between 8-10 points with Iba Camara hauling in a team high nine rebounds.
The under is 9-3 in Binghamton last 12 vs. America East and is 19-7 in their last 26 overall while the Bearcats are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 road games. On paper New Hampshire is the choice but this is the best Bearcats squad we’ve seen in awhile…
