The Akron Zips have been a common sight atop the MAC East and this season doesn’t look to be any different. The Zips have won seven of ten where both ends of the floor have contributed to the success. The Zips are coming off of a 91-76 rout of visiting Ohio as a six point favorite on Tuesday as they grey a five point halftime edge in to a rout. The Bobcats held a 47%-43% shooting edge but Akron mustered 12 more looks at the basket thanks to a +19 on the glass and a whopping 20-43 performance from long range. Reggie McAdams and Kwan Cheatham Jr. poured in 21 points with Cheatham hauling in 12 rebounds. Antino Jackson added 12 points and five yanks while Jake Kretzer and Noah Robotham combined for 21 points and eleven boards.
Kent State are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. Mid-American. The over is 9-1-1 in Akron last 11 overall and the over is 9-1-1 in their last 11 vs. Mid-American while the Zips are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The underdog is 6-1-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings and the under is 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings. The Zips to avoid the season sweep seems almost too obvious…
