The Northern Colorado Bears butt heads with the Montana Grizzlies to end the season.
The Northern Colorado Bears haven’t had much to cheer about this season but a win over conference power Montana would help alleviate the pain. The Bears would need a reversal of fortunes with eight straight defeats after an 81-63 loss at Montana State as a seven point dog on Thursday. The Bobcats took a 14 point lead after 20 minutes to put this in the win column. Both teams sank shots in the 42% range but a 22-10 edge at the stripe carried Montana State. Northern Colorado received 14 points from Jordan Davis with Miles Seward tossing in 12. Anthony Johnson added eleven points and eight rebounds while Jon’te Dotson chipped in with eight points.

The Montana Grizzlies could technically tie for the top spot in the Big Sky with a win Saturday and a Weber State loss but that doesn’t seem like a likely scenario. The Grizzlies have won eight of ten after routing North Dakota 71-46 as a 7.5 point home favorite on Thursday. Montana was up ten at the half and continued the carnage over the final 20 minutes. The Fighting Hawks were stifled on less then 30% from the floor which made their 40% shooting and eight more baskets an easy winner. Walter Wright led all scorers with 18 points followed by Martin Breunig with his 17 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Oguine netted 12 points while Mario Dunn Jr. added seven points and five yanks.
Northern Colorado are 3-12 ATS in their last 15 Saturday games and are 5-14-1 ATS in their last 20 road games while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 road games. Montana are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 home games and the over is 6-2-1 in their last 9 overall while going 6-2-1 in their last 9 vs. Big Sky. The under is 6-1-1 in the last 8 meetings in Montana and Northern Colorado are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings. If Montana cares they cover or just win by plenty and don’t cver…
