The San Jose Spartans are easily the most improved team in the Mountain West and nationally as well but their record says they still have a long way to go at 8-21. The Spartans have lost six in a row and eight of ten after an 81-78 defeat at Wyoming as a ten point road dog on Wednesday. The Cowboys sank shots at 53% and hit eleven more free throws to barely overcome the 46.6% shooting Spartans who totaled 13 more looks at the basket. Frank Rogers paced SJSU with 15 points and seven boards with Gary Williams Jr. adding 14 points and five yanks. Brandon Clarke tossed in 12 while Isaac Thornton and Jalen James combined for 21 points.

The Boise State Broncos are going to finish in the top four of the Mountain West and could finish as high as second with a win at San Jose State combining with a Fresno State loss. The Broncos have been playing well down the stretch with wins in four of five after downing visiting Nevada 76-57 as a 12 point favorite on Wednesday night. BSU took a 12 point lead in to the locker room and continued to keep the pressure on throughout. The Wolf Pack were held to less then 39% from the floor with Boise countering at nearly 48% for nine more baskets. Anthony Drmric paced the offense with 22 points and eleven rebounds with James Webb III adding 15 points and seven boards. Nick Duncan and Chandler Hutchison each scored eight points each while Mikey Thompson and Paris Austin scored seven points apiece.
San Jose State are 15-36-2 ATS in their last 53 home games and the under is 7-3 in their last 10 overall while going 7-3 in their last 10 vs. Mountain West.
