The Holy Cross Crusaders shoot for the upset of the Lehigh Mountain Hawks in the Patriot League Championship.
The Holy Cross Crusaders are an unlikely participant in the Patriot League championship with an offense that struggles to reach 70 points. The defense made sure points were not an issue with a dominant 60-38 defeat of Army in the semifinals. The Crusaders were up eight at the break but a 26-12 second half was decisive. The Black Knights were held to less then 23% shooting and gave the ball away 18 times which made the 39% marksmanship of HC golden. Robert Champion led the Crusaders with 15 points and six pulls with Malachi Alexander adding 13 points and seven boards. Anthony Thompson added 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists while Karl Charles chipped in with eight points and five helpers.
