The Akron Zips oppose the Bowling Green Falcons with a trip to the MAC championship at stake.
The Akron Zips rallied from a big second half hole to advance to the MAC semifinals. The Zips came back from a double digit deficit to edge Eastern Michigan 65-63 Thursday as a five point favorite. The Eagles were the better marksman at 38%-34% but the lone difference was Akron sank four more long balls in an otherwise even boxscore. The Zips received a game high 20 points and seven boards from Reggie McAdams who fouled out in 28 minutes with Isaiah Johnson adding 19 points and a game high 16 rebounds. Antino Jackson tossed in eleven points while Noah Robotham chipped in with nine points but three players that saw at least 18 minutes of floor time did not score.

The Bowling Green Falcons did not factor in to the MAC race but here they are in the semifinals as they rallied past the Central Michigan Chippewas 62-59 as a six point underdog. The Falcons trailed by six heading to the locker room before dominating both ends of the floor over the final 20 minutes. The Chips were limited to 41% from the floor while BGSU sank half their looks for a few more field goals that made the difference. Antwon Lillard paced the Falcons attack with a game high 26 points and five yanks with Demajeo Wiggins tossing in ten points with the pair combining for 13-18 shooting. Five others contributed 4-6 points give Bowling Green a measure of balance.
