The North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans collide with the Ohio Bobcats with a trip to the CBI semis up for grabs.
The North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans were pesky in the SoCon meaning they could not be overlooked. The Spartans won’t be overlooked in the CBI after downing Houston Baptist 69-65 to punch their ticket to the quarterfinals as an eight point favorite. Neither team shot the ball well with UNCG leading 40%-37% with a few more field goals making the difference while also forcing 18 turnovers to limit Huskies opportunities. Francis Alonso gave the Spartans 17 points with Diante Baldwin right on his heels with 16 points. RJ White was next in line with 15 points and eight rebounds while Kayel Locke added 13 points and five yanks.

When the Ohio Bobcats are scoring the basketball they are tough to keep up with and that was barely true in their 94-90, overtime win versus the Albany Great Danes in their CBI first round match up. Both teams sank shots at 45% with the Great Danes totaling eleven more attempts with Ohio sinking eleven more free throws to win it. Treg Setty was the Bobcats star with 30 points and ten rebounds with Jaaron Simmons adding 15 points and ten helpers. Kenny Kaminski tossed in 14 while Jordan Datis and Antonio Campbell scoring 12 and eleven points respectively with Campbell snaring eight boards with Khari Harley chipping in eight points.
Both teams rely heavily on their scoring to be successful because the opposition has done plenty of scoring throughout the year. We have a few days for this one to dig further in to it so for now I lean to the over and will update if I find something better…
