The Villanova Wildcats have been dominant in the Big Dance and even Buddy Hield and Oklahoma could stop them or even slow them down in their Final Four match up. The Wildcats found themselves up 14 at the break and continued the carnage over the final 20 minutes with a 53-23 run. Both ends of the floor were clicking with the the Sooners held to 32% from the floor with Buddy Hield held to just nine points on 4-12 shooting. On the flip side Nova burned the nets at over 71% including an 11-18 effort from long range. Josh Hart gave the Wildcats a game high 23 points and eight boards with Kris Jenkins adding 18 points and another eight boards. Ryan Arcidiacono was next in line with 15 points with Mikal Bridges tossing in eleven while Daniel Ochefu and Phil Booth chipped in with ten points apiece.

The Syracuse Orange were not only a surprise participant in the NCAA tournament they were an even bigger surprise by reaching the Final Four. Their run ended in an 83-66 defeat to the North Carolina Tar Heels where they were dominated in most phases. The Tar Heels were up eleven at the half and never let the Orange make a comeback as a ten point favorite. The Cuse were held to 42% from the floor while UNC countered with nearly 54% which added up to eight more baskets. Justin Jackson and Brice Johnson each scored 16 points with Johnson grabbing nine rebounds with Kennedy Meeks adding 15 points and eight boards. Marcus Paige followed with 13 points while Joel Berry II chipped in with eight points and handed out ten assists.
Both teams truly deserve to be in the National Championship game as each has displayed the ability to defend and score. While North Carolina was expected to be in the title game Villanova was deemed as more of a challenger then a legitimate contender to most outsiders. The Tar Heels will be tough to handle inside and the Wildcats wile be tough from the perimeter so pick your poison…
