Coming up on Sunday in college basketball action, we’ve got an interesting matchup between the Bowling Green Falcons and the South Dakota Coyotes at the DakotaDome.
Bowling Green comes into this game with an 0-1 record on the year, following a 78-70 loss to Oakland. The Falcons were outscored 35-29 in the first half here, and 43-41 in the second, allowing 22 points to Oakland’s Martez Walker.

As for Bowling Green, Wes Alcegaire led the way with 19 points, three rebounds and an assist, while Zack Denny managed 15 points, two rebounds, three assists and three steals. Matt Fox was also in double-figures for the Falcons, with 10 points and five rebounds.
Over on the South Dakota side, they’re coming into this game with a 1-0 record after a nice 79-74 win over Drake. The Coyotes were outscored 45-39 in the first half in that one, but stormed back in the second to record a 40-29 result and take the win.
Leading the way for South Dakota was Trey Burch-Manning, who posted 24 points and 11 rebounds. Tyler Flack also doubled up for the Coyotes, with 12 points and 10 rebounds with two steals and two assists. Matt Mooney was also a big factor in the South Dakota victory on his 21 points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals and a block.
Bowling Green is 21-6 ATS in their last 27 Sunday games, and 6-2 in their last eight non-conference games. Bowling Green is also 6-2 ATS in their last eight non-conference games, and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall.

South Dakota stumbled out of the gate, but looked great in the second half of their season-opening win. The trio of Burch-Manning, Flack and Mooney is already proving to be a potent combination, and they should carry the Coyotes in most games this year. South Dakota shouldn’t have a whole lot of trouble covering here, so I’ll stick with the Coyotes.
