The Seattle Redhawks will travel to the Coors Events Center to take on the Colorado Buffaloes this Monday night in College Basketball action.
The Seattle Redhawks opened their season with a solid 76-65 victory of the Pacific Lutheran Lutes this past Friday. Seattle shot 46.4% from the field and was able to hold off Pacific Lutheran after the Redhawks took a 39-32 lead at halftime. Leading the way for Seattle was Brendan Westendorf who had 22 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and a steal. Seattle finished last season with a 15-17 overall record and are projected to finish in the middle of the WAC this season. Seattle lost two starters in Jack Crook (10.1 ppg, 6.0 rpg) and Jadon Cohee (7.8 ppg, 2.0 rpg) but do return Brendan Westendorf who averaged 12.8 ppg and 4.3 apg. Also returning for the Redhawks is William Powell (8.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg), Jake Spurgeon (3.7 ppg, 1.3 rpg) and Emmanuel Chibuogwu (4.6 ppg, 3.1 rpg). Seattle brought in a lot of international talent and hope that a few of their newcomers can help generate some offense as the Redhawks averaged just 64.8 ppg last season.

The Colorado Buffaloes had no problem finding the win column in their season opener as Colorado easily defeated the Sacramento State Hornets, 90-53, this past Friday. Colorado was outstanding on both sides of the ball and had little trouble securing the victory after they raced out to a 42-19 lead at halftime. Leading the way for Colorado was Josh Fortune who had 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and a steal. Colorado finished last season with a 22-12 record and although they lost one of their best players in Josh Scott (16.3 ppg, 8.8 rpg), Head Coach Tad Boyle has a talented group of players that should have the Buffaloes back in the NCAA Tournament in March. Colorado will be led by Wesley Gordon (7.2 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 2.0 bpg), Dominique Collier (7.5 ppg, 2.7 apg), George King (13.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg), and Josh Fortune (10.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg). Colorado will also have Xavier Johnson back in the lineup who missed last season due to injury.
The Redhawks are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Buffaloes are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up win and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Colorado is one of the most well-rounded basketball teams in all of College Basketball and as I think the Seattle offense will have trouble scoring the basketball in this one, I think we see a similar performance that the Buffaloes showed us in their 1st game and that they cover this large home spread. Take Colorado to cover.
