The Line: Davidson -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Davidson Wildcats and Missouri Tigers meet Friday in college basketball action at the HP Field House.
The Davidson Wildcats are coming off a 95-78 blowout loss to the Clemson Tigers in which they made just 11 of 40 three attempts and turned the ball over 16 times. Davidson relies heavily on the three-ball to win games but has to play cleaner ball than that if this is going to be a successful season. The good news for Davidson is that Jack Gibbs made his season debut after battling a shoulder injury, and he finished with 18 points and four assists in 28 minutes of play. Jordan Watkins had 12 points off the bench in the loss and Peyton Aldridge was the Wildcats most consistent player with 22 points and eight rebounds. Davidson is capable of playing so much better and should be able to show that in the second game of the tournament. The Davidson Wildcats have lost three of their last five neutral site games.

The Missouri Tigers are coming off an 83-82 overtime loss to the Xavier Musketeers. Missouri outplayed the No. 11 team in the country but just couldn’t make the plays to finish the game and gave a boneheaded foul that sealed the Tigers fate just seconds before a second overtime taking place. Kevin Puryear led the Tigers with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Frankie Hughes chipped in 24 points and three assists. Still, despite a frustrating loss, Missouri has to be confident it was able to hang with one of the better teams in the country and that should help carry over to SEC play. The Missouri Tigers have just four upperclassmen on their roster, so they'll take any growth they can get right now. The Missouri Tigers have lost their last four neutral site games.
The Wildcats are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Tigers are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 neutral site games and 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The over is 3-0-1 in the last 4 meetings.
There's no line yet, but the game is so early, waiting for a line would be pointless. I'm going to side with the Davidson Wildcats to win this game by double digits. Missouri doesn't have the offensive firepower to hang with an experienced and deep team such as Davidson and already wasted its perfect game against Xavier. This is a game where Davidson can look more like Davidson and win by hitting constant outside shots.
