The St. Francis (NY) Terriers look for their first college basketball win against the Providence Friars.
I expected the St. Francis (NY) Terriers to be 0-2 with games against North Carolina State and Virginia and kudos to them for not scheduling some NAIA squad to pad their stats. There was no stat padding in Thursday’s 72-32 loss to the Cavaliers who led by 22 points at the half and never let up for 40 minutes. UVA burned the nets at nearly 60% and the Terriers were limited to 23% for a difference of 20 field goals so that was the decisive advantage. Glenn Sanabria was the Terriers only double digit scorer with ten points on 4-7 from the floor with Gunnar Olafson adding seven points but the Terriers lacked size and scoring options.

The Providence Friars shoot for their third win on Monday and should have some momentum after throttling Grambling State 71-54 as a 25 point favorite On Saturday. The Friars took a 13 point lead in to the locker room and eased up in the second half even though both teams sank shots in the 46% range. The difference was the Friars forced 21 turnovers and managed eight more looks at the basket while sinking eight more three pointers. Rodney Bullock led all scorers with 18 points on 8-11 from the floor and snagged six pulls with Emmitt Holt going 5-9 for 17 points while Jalen Lindsey netted ten points and posted another five yanks on 4-7 shooting.
The under is 9-3 in St. Francis (NY) last 12 overall and Providence are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
I can see Providence winning by 30 or by 20 so it’s up to them how big the final margin is…
