The #14 Wisconsin Badgers look to climb the college basketball ranks when they face the Georgetown Hoyas.
The #14 Wisconsin Badgers have a golden opportunity to climb the national rankings although that’s easier said then done in my view. The Badgers took a step in that direction with a 74-62 win versus Tennessee in the Maui Classic as 13.5 point favorite. Wisky held an eight point lead heading to the locker room and slowly increased it as they burned the nets at over 56% with seven more free throws to outdistance the Volunteers 40% accuracy. Wisconsin received a contest high 21 points from Bronson Koenig on 9-15 with Nigel Hayes and Ethan Happ added 17 and 16 points respectably while combining for16 rebounds.

The Georgetown Hoyas are 2-2 but could easily be 3-1 if not for a one point loss to Maryland although this team has surprised and disappointed me in the past and I dare not trust or overlook them. The Hoyas opened the Maui Classic with a 65-61 win over Oregon as a 9.5 point underdog. GT opened the first half with a 17 point lead, then held off a furious Ducks rally. The Ducks won the shooting battle 39%-34% but a few more threes and six more free throws was enough to pull the upset. Rodney Pryor saved Georgetown with a contest high 26 points and ten rebounds while LJ Peak netted 17 points and snared six boards.
The under is 13-3 in Wisconsin last 16 overall and Wisconsin are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 neutral site games. Georgetown are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 Tuesday games.
