The VCU Rams look to bounce back from their first loss of the season. In the 63-71 loss to the Baylor Bears, VCU shot 46.8 percent from the field and had 17 turnovers. JeQuan Lewis led VCU with 21 points and five assists while Ahmed Hamdy-Mohamed had 14 points and one rebound. Jonathan Williams was the third double-digit scorer and Samir Doughty had seven rebounds off the bench. VCU has been rather impressive so far this season and could have easily beat a polished Baylor team if it took better care of the basketball. VCU has to like the position it's in after four games to the CBB season. The VCU Rams have lost three of their last four neutral site games.
The Red Storm are 8-17-1 ATS in their last 26 neutral site games and 0-8 ATS in their last 8 Thursday games. The Rams are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 neutral site games and 26-10 ATS in their last 36 games overall. The over is 9-4 in Rams last 13 neutral site games and the over is 5-2 in Red Storm last 7 overall.
The VCU Rams have looked really sharp this season and should be able to frustrate St John's and it's young roster. The Red Storm are better than most people think, but they have yet to get the big victory and show they're capable of finishing games. You have to like VCU here and the reasonable line.
