Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Marshall Thundering Herd - 11/25/16 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Leading the way for Marshall in scoring, we’ve got Jon Elmore with 19.0 PPG, 4.3 RPG and 5.8 APG, and Stevie Browning with 15.0 PPG and 5.8 RPG. Terrence Thompson (14.5 PPG; 7.3 RPG) and Austin Loop (10.3 PPG) are averaging in double figures for the Thundering Herd as well.

Over on the Ohio State side, they’re entering play Friday with a 5-0 record on the year. The Buckeyes took wins over Navy 78-68 and North Carolina Central 69-63 to start things out, then beat Providence 72-67 and Western Carolina 66-38. Ohio State’s most recent appearance Wednesday was a 78-47 win over Jackson St.

So far this season, Jae’Sean Tate leads the way for the Buckeyes with 13.2 PPG and 6.6 RPG, and Kam Williams sits on 13.0 PPG with 2.4 RPG. JaQuan Lyle and Kelta Bates-Diop are also averaging in double figures for Ohio State, with Lyle sitting on 11.2 PPG and Bates-Diop with 10.3 PPG and 6.7 RPG.

Marshall is 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven non-conference games, and 13-4-1 ATS in their last 18 games following a straight-up win. Marshall is also 2-5 ATS in the last seven games overall, and 0-4 ATS in their last four Friday games.

Ohio State, meanwhile, is 1-4 ATS in their last five non-conference games, and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Ohio State is also 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a straight-up win, and 0-7 ATS in their last seven Friday games.

Ohio State has been a pretty well-rounded team so far, getting contributions from across their roster. The Buckeyes’ top six leading scorers have at least 9.0 PPG, and their top three rebounders have at least 6.6 RPG. That’s pretty good through a five-game stretch. I like the Buckeyes to keep rolling here, so I’ll take Ohio State to cover in this one. The line is pretty sizable, but not terrible.
