The Line: Drake Bulldogs +2 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Alaska- Anchorage Seawolves take the floor against the Drake Bulldogs in the Great Alaskan Shootout college basketball tournament Saturday.

The Alaska Anchorage Seawolves have been more competitive then most thought in the Great Alaskan Shootout and that tend continued in a 71-65 defeat at the hands of Oakland. Unfortunately, there are no moral victories as the Seawolves will play for 7th place in the tournament as they missed five shots towards the end of the game. Alaska- Anchorage leaned heavily on the perimeter shooting of Diante Mitchell who sank four from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points followed by a 17 point performance from Spencer Svejcar. The Seawolves trailed by double figures with just under 2:30 remaining before cutting their deficit to 66-63 before the Golden Grizzlies sealed it at the line.

Drake Bulldogs vs. Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves - 11/26/16 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Drake Bulldogs went toe to toe with the UC Davis Aggies in the Great American Shootout but could never get their offense untracked in a 64-58 defeat that has them in the 7th place game versus Alaska-Anchorage on Saturday. The Aggies were a bit fortunate as very god 49% marksmanship was nearly countered by 18 giveaways to make the Bulldogs 44% accuracy competitive. The Bulldogs path to success is to control the scoreboard which they did but you also have to put points on the scoreboard. Drake had one lone double digit scorer in Casey Schlatter with 15 points while Billy Wampler and Graham Woodard scored nine points apiece but a little better shooting and Drake might have won this.

The are no tends out there that we can use between these two teams that never play each other and are in different divisions. Having said that I think Alaska-Anchorage will lay it all on the line to at least salvage a win for the home folks but Drake isn’t going to just show up either. No line is out so please check back…
