The IUPU Ft. Wayne Mastodons take on the Austin Peay Governors in a college basketball tilt on Wednesday.
At 5-2, the IUPU-Ft. Wayne Mastodons are off to a very good start which many expected. The surging Mastodons have won four in a row after knocking off subdivision Siena Heights 107-59 that was an 18 point bulge at the break with Ft. Wayne never letting up until the final buzzer. The Saints were held to 40% from the floor which was far short of the Mastodons 61.5% marksmanship which was a difference of 18 baskets with eleven more free throws as well. Bryson Scott led Fort Wayne with 16 points on 6-8 with Charles Ruise Jr. adding 15 points and seven boards. Jordan King totaled 13 points while Mo Evans netted 12 points and handed out seven helpers in an offensive field day.

The Austin Peay Governors are off to a good start at 4-2and are sitting second in the OVC West although the conference schedule has yet to begin. The Governors have won back to back contests after dropping subdivision Spalding that was a 16 point game heading to the locker room. AP did not defend the shot well with the Golden Eagles hitting at 48% although it didn’t matter with the Governors firing away at 49% with nine more looks at the basketball adding up to eleven more baskets. Josh Robinson was Austin Peay’s big gun with a contest best 20 points and seven helpers on 8-15 with Kenny Jones adding 17 points and nine rebounds on 8-10. Chris Porter-Bunton and John Murry scored ten points apiece as the Governors had plenty of options.
IPFW are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 Wednesday games and IPFW are 37-16-2 ATS in their last 55 road games while the over is 24-11 in IPFW last 35 overall. The over is 16-4-1 in Austin Peay last 21 overall and Austin Peay are 6-21 ATS in their last 27 home games while the over is 6-2 in Austin Peay last 8 non-conference games.
