Saint Joseph’s was able to fight back from a 57-43 deficit midway through the 2nd half however to make it competitive but couldn’t get the come from behind victory. Saint Joseph’s struggled on the offensive end as they shot just 32.9% from the field and 22.7% (5-22) form beyond the arc. The Owls are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. A-10 opponents. The Hawks are 11-3-1 ATS in their last 15 non-conference games and 25-10-1 ATS in their last 36 games overall.
Temple had some surprising losses against UMass and UNH to start the season however, the Owls showed that they can play with the better teams in the country after back to back wins against Florida State and West Virginia. Saint Joseph’s has gotten some outstanding play by returning guar Shavar Newkirk, however the Hawks just don’t look the same without Isaiah Miles and DeAndre Bembry and I think Temple will be able to pick up the win on the road in this one. Take Temple to win this one.
