The Line: Creighton Bluejays -4 -- Over/Under: 153 See the Latest Odds

We have a solid Big East matchup on the hardwood Wednesday night as the #8 Creighton Bluejays hot the #12 Butler Bulldogs.

The #12 Butler Bulldogs will look for their 4th straight conference win when they visit the Bluejays after defeating Georgetown in overtime by a final score of 85-76. Kamar Baldwin led all Butler scorers with 16 points on 6 of 13 shooting with 3 triples and 4 steals. Leading scorer and rebounder for Butler this season, Kelan Martin, scored 13 points on just 3 of 13 from the floor, but made up for it by pulling down 10 rebounds for the double-double. Andrew Chrabascz, Kethan Savage and Nate Fowler each added 11 points to tie for 3rd in the winning effort for Butler. Martin leads the Bulldogs with an average of 17.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while Tyler Lewis is the team's leader in the assists column with 4.4 per game. As a team, Butler is scoring 77.7 points per game on 48.8% shooting from the field, 39.2% from behind the arc and 73.2% from the foul line.

Creighton vs. Butler - 1/11/17 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The #8 Creighton Bluejays will be looking for their 3rd straight conference win and 4th in their last 5 tries when they take on Butler. The Bluejays won back-to-back Big East outings by defeating Providence by a final score of 78-64 behind a game-high 20 points on 9 of 13 shooting from Justin Patton who also pulled down a team-leading 6 boards and recorded 3 blocks in the win. Creighton' leading scorer this season, Marcus Foster, came 2nd with 17 points on 7 of 14 shooting including 3 threes while Khyri Thomas followed right behind in 3rd with 16 points on an efficient 8 of 11 shooting. Maurice Watson Jr. added 11 points and a game-high 14 assists for the double-double for the Bluejays. Foster leads the team in scoring with 18.6 points per game while Patton is the team's top rebounder with 6.5 per game and Watson Jr is the Bluejays' top assist man, dishing out 9 assists per game. As a team, Creighton is scoring the 11th-most points in the country with 87.5 per game while shooting the best percentage in the nation at 53.7% and the 4th-best 3-point percentage at 42.2%. The Bluejays are also making 67.9% of their free throws this season.

Butler is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 conference matchups and 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 road games. Creighton is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games and 21-9-1 ATS in their last 31 conference matchups while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 Wednesday games. The home team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.

This should be one heck of an exciting game. With that said, I still haven't forgotten about Butler blowing a lead and losing to a below average St. John's team, while Creighton's lone defeat was at the hands of Villanova, who was the #1 team in the country up until this week. I think Creighton's dynamic offense will be the difference in this one and I will take the Bluejays to cover the small line.
