The Wisconsin Badgers will look to build some momentum and improve to 2-0 after routing South Carolina State by a final score of 85-50 in their opener on Friday. Ethan Happ led the charge, going 8 of 11 from the floor for a game-high 20 points in addition to a game-high 11 rebounds for the double-double. Andy Van Vliet went 7 for 11 for 18 points with 8 rebounds and a pair of blocks, while Brevin Pritzl and D’Mitrik Trice each added 3 triples, with Pritzl putting up 17 points while Trice added 13 points and a game-high 5 assists. As a team, Wisconsin is scoring 85 points per game on 57.1% shooting from the field and 43.5% from behind the arc while making 61.1% from the foul line after their first game.

We will update with trends once they become available.

I nailed the first Yale game, and even though they scored 76 points and kept Creighton from shooting the outside shot, Creighton still shot almost 60% from the field. You’re not going to beat many teams when you give up percentages like that, and Wisconsin plays the same kind of power style that the Bluejays do, just with not as many outside shots. I think Yale will struggle for a 2nd straight game, leading to an easy win and cover for Wisconsin.
