The Jacksonville State Gamecocks play their second straight road game with a visit to the Buffalo Bulls on Wednesday. Jacksonville State won their second in a row to open 2017-18 with an impressive 94-61 rout of the Richmond Spiders as a three point road dog. The Gamecocks opened the game wit a 50-29 run and kept the pressure on until the final horn. The JSU defense allowed 38.9% while responding with a blistering 57.4% while owning a +19 on the glass including 13 offensive rebounds.

Norbertas Giga led the Jacksonville State scoring explosion with a contest high 18 points on 6-8 from the floor to go along with five pulls. Christian Cunningham gave the Gamecocks 16 points and eleven rebounds on 6-8 while Jamall Gregory and Marion Hunter combined for 21 points and 12 boards on 9-16 from the field. Four others scored between 8-9 points so there were plenty of options and hopefully depth for Jacksonville State.
The Buffalo Bulls aim for back to back wins to kick off the season when the Jacksonville State Gamecocks drop by on Wednesday. Buffalo enjoyed a successful start to the new season with an 80-75 win versus the visiting Canisius Golden Griffins as a nine point favorite. This was tight throughout with UB struggling to defend the shot with the Golden Griffins connecting at 48.1%. Buffalo did force 18 turnovers and had 17 offensive rebounds to total 21 more looks at the basket and help bolster their own 41.1% shooting.
The Golden Griffins twosome of Takal Molson and Isaiah Reese caused the majority of problems for the Bulls with 25 and 20 points respectively on a combined 14-24 shooting. Nick Perkins carried the offensive load for Buffalo with a game high 26 points on 9-17 marksmanship with six boards. Davonta Jordan added 16 points and eight rebounds while hitting 7-8 shots with Jeremy Harris rounding out the Bulls top contributors with 15 points on 5-17 from the field.
