The Pacific Tigers will hope that some home cooking will help the Tigers get their first win after dropping their season opener by a final score of 89-80 at the hands of Stanford on Sunday. Miles Reynolds led the team with 20 points on 6 of 15 shooting from the floor and an 8 for 9 mark from the foul line and a team-high 3 assists. Roberto Gallinat came 2nd with 15 points on 6 of 14 shooting with a pair of threes and Namdi Okonkwo added 10 points. Anthony Townes fell one point shy of a double-double, putting up 9 points with a team-high 10 boards in the loss, while Jack Williams added a pair of blocks and Kendall Small chipped in 3 steals in the losing effort. As a team, Pacific is scoring 80 points per game on 45.6% shooting from the field, 28.6% from behind the 3-point line and 14 for 21 from the charity stripe this season.
UC-Davis is 17-4 ATS in their last 21 Wednesday games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 games following a win. Pacific is 2-9 ATS in their last 11 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games against the Big West.
I was really impressed with Pacific and how they were able to hang with Stanford despite not getting the win. However, although Pacific will be a much tougher test than Northern Colorado, I feel that the Aggies are the deeper and flat out better team here, and the fact that we are getting points with them as well makes this an easy pick for me. Give me UC-Davis and the points in a game I have the Aggies winning outright.
