Over at Ohio University Convocation Center on Tuesday evening, the Iona Gaels and the Ohio Bobcats will be matching up in college basketball action.

Iona enters this game with a 1-4 record so far. Since their lone win over Weber State, the Gaels have lost to Northern Kentucky and Coastal Carolina. In that last game, Rickey McGill put up 23 points and seven assists off the bench for Iona.

McGill tops the Gaels with 14.6 PPG and 5.2 APG so far this year, and TK Edogi has 13.2 PPG and 8.8 RPG. Also in double-digits for Iona are Zach Lewis (13.2 PPG; 4.6 APG) and Deyshonee Much (12.4 PPG).

Over on the Ohio side, they’re currently 3-2 on the year. The Bobcats have won their last two games versus Indiana State and Mt. St. Mary’s. In that last game, the Bobcats’ Teyvion Kirk put up 20 points with five rebounds and six assists.

Ohio’s top scorer is Jordan Darts, with 15.8 PPG, and Kirk is right there with 15.6 PPG, 4.8 RPG and 4.0 RPG. Also in double-figures for the Bobcats are Mike Laster (14.4 PPG) and Gavin Block (12.8 PPG; 7.6 RPG).

Iona is 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up loss and 2-5 ATS in their last seven Tuesday games. The Gaels are also 2-5 ATS in their last seven non-conference games and the over is 6-1 in the last seven road games.

Meanwhile, the Bobcats are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight Tuesday games and 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine non-conference games. Ohio is also 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall and the over is 6-1 in their last seven Tuesday games.

Iona came out flat in the Chanticleers game, putting up 26 points in the first half—though they did get it going with 58 in the second (and allowed 57). As for the Bobcats, they’ve been hanging in there for the most part and gained some momentum with that tense 4OT win over Indiana State. I like Ohio to keep it going here and cover.
