Tuesday college basketball sees the St. Louis Billikens hosting the Western Michigan Broncos.
The Western Michigan Broncos have been penned in as a team to keep an eye on in 2017-18 but they haven’t stood out thus far. Thomas Wilder gave Western Michigan a bit of everything with 15 points, four yanks and four assists on 5-9 from the floor in 21 minutes followed by a 14 point, six pull performance from Drake LaMont on 7-9 accuracy. Reggie Jones added ten points and eight rebounds while the trio of Brandon Johnson and Josh Davis and Michael Flowers gave the Broncos 27 points.
The Saint Louis Billikens won three straight to kick off the season but have since dropped back to back contests following a 72-70defeat at the hands of the Detroit Titans as a 12.5 point favorite. The Billikens held a slight 41.3%-40% shooting edge with a 12-20 effort at the foul line costing the team points and games.
Saint Louis leaned heavily on Jalen Johnson who responded with a game high 24 points on 8-15 from the floor including three long balls while Hasahn French added 13 points, a game high eleven rebounds and five blocks on 5-8 accuracy. The twosome of DJ Foreman and Jordan Goodwin scored eight points each and combined for 12 rebounds with Goodwin posting seven assists.
