So far this year, Ryan Pelage is leading San Jose State with 19.6 PPG and 4.6 RPG. Also in double-digits for the Spartans is Hillsman, with 10.8 PPG and 3.6 RPG, and Keith Fisher is close on 9.4 PPG.
Over on the Bowling Green side, they’re sitting at 5-2 on the season. The Falcons had a four-game win streak over Florida Gulf Coast, Lake Erie, South Carolina Upstate and Campbell snapped in their last outing with a loss to Abilene Christian. In that one, Bowling Green guard Rodrick Caldwell led the team with 25 points, six rebounds and four assists.
On the season, Dylan Frye leads the Falcons with 16.3 PPG and 4.1 RPG, and Caldwell has 15.7 PPG to his credit. Also in double-digits for Bowling Green are Justin Turner (14.8 PPG) and Demajeo Wiggins (14.3 PPG; 7.4 RPG).
San Jose State is 2-5 ATS in their last seven non-conference games and 2-5 ATS in the last seven games overall. the Spartans are also 11-30-2 ATS in their last 43 Wednesday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are 7-17 ATS in their last 24 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up loss. Bowling Green is also 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and the under is 6-1 in their last seven overall.
The first half of the Spartans’ Idaho State game was something of a comedy of errors, as both teams combined for just 37 points. San Jose State did turn it up in the second half, though. As for Bowling Green, they couldn't provide much in the way of consistent help for Caldwell in the ACU game, but I think they’ll bounce back here. Give me the Falcons to cover.
